Welcome to Creative Arts Academy! The first day of Creative Arts Academy will be June 1, 2026 at Liberty High School, 200 Blue Jay Drive, Liberty MO 64068. The last day of Creative Arts Academy will be June 26.
Below are many items that parents/guardians and students need to know for attending the Academy.
- Creative Arts Academy hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Liberty High School Performing Arts Center. Students may not be dropped off at the Liberty High Performing Arts Center until 8:00 a.m. Students must be picked up by 3:00 p.m.
- Transportation is not provided. The courses are held at Liberty High School in the Performing Arts Center. Visit the "Drop-Off/Pick-Up Map" tab for directions.
- Your student will come home the first day with a name card to put in the window of your car for pick up. Our goal is to get everyone out safely and as quickly as possible. Please do not park in the parking lot and have your child come out to you, or walk over to get your child. It creates an unsafe environment for all of the students with the amount of traffic. We will have them wait until all the cars that went in the line before we allow them to cross the street.
- There will be a lunch option provided through LHS. Lunch is $3.10, and payments should be submitted through the normal LPS system. If your student does not plan on eating the school lunch, then students must provide their own lunch each day.
- Live performances are a part of Creative Arts Academy. Jazz Choir, Fiddle N’ Folk, Center Stage, and Behind the Scenes will have an evening performance that will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at 6 p.m. Artwork from the art classes will be on display during this performance time as well. This performance is free. We do ask for donations to help offset the cost of the performance.
- There will be two performances that Creative Arts Academy students will give for elementary school students during the school day on Tuesday, June 23. These performances are not open to the public due to the amount of elementary students that attend.
- Students should bring their school issued iPads. They are not being collected at the end of the school year. We will use them during various classes. Please make sure they bring theirs every day for Creative Arts Academy. If your student does not currently attend Liberty Public Schools, we will have an iPad for them on the first day of school.
- No other technology devices (phones, ear pods, handheld gaming systems, etc) should be brought to the Creative Arts Academy.
- Students will be moving (dancing, etc.), creating (paint, foam, etc.), and making messes (for a purpose) in the classes. Please ensure you have your student dressed in clothing that can get messy. We try to avoid the messes but creating art (performance and visual) gets messy!
- Students should wear closed toed shoes, no sandals, slippers, or crocs. Due to some of the classes dancing, painting, building, etc, we do not want any lost toes!
- Students will be attending field trips as a part of Creative Arts Academy. We do have some field trips planned. Please fill out this permission slip by Tuesday, June 2. This form will be for all trips. If you are not sure what class your child is in and if they are going on the trip, please fill out the form and further information will come if it affects your student once they get their schedules on Monday, June 1. If a student does not turn in a signed permission slip, they will not be allowed to go.
- If your student is in Band Camp at LNHS, a shuttle bus will be provided from LNHS to LHS. Lunch will be eaten at LHS before the second session begins. You will drop off your student at LNHS in the morning and pick them up at LHS in the afternoon. After band camp is over, you will drop off and pick up at LHS.
- During Creative Arts Academy, if your child will be absent, or needs to be checked out or checked in for doctors appointments, or other reasons, please fill out the form at the top of this page or call 816-736-5664.
- Class schedules will be given to the students on the first day of Creative Arts Academy (June 1).
-If your student is no longer able to attend Creative Arts Academy for the entirety of the summer please fill out this form.
