Creating and developing an appreciation and knowledge of music, instruments, and movement are core to the elementary music experience. Students are encouraged to create, collaborate, communicate, and think critically while learning the fundamentals of music. Every week, more than 9,000 elementary students are given the opportunity to experience music in a classroom setting or as part of an after-school choir.  Once a year (if not more often), each student is given the opportunity to perform in a music program.
