ORCHESTRA

In Middle School Orchestra, students advance their skills as individual musicians and collaborate as a team to play a variety of musical styles. There are many performance as well as social opportunities. 6th Grade Orchestra picks up where Elementary Orchestra leaves off. However, even if a student has not played in Elementary Orchestra, they may join at the middle level. Students may play violin, viola, cello, or bass.

Required Equipment for Orchestra

Each student should have a pencil with them every day. Keep this in your case.
All students should have a good case for their instrument. Repair or replace any instrument case that does not work properly (this includes latches).
All instruments shoiuld be easy to tune and stay in tune.
All instruments should be professionally set up (correct bridge/nut height).
All instrument cases must have a nametag on them.
Music stand.
